While the current version of ZhuodaShi does not have a GUI(Graphical User Interface) or any kind of integrated management. There is a simple console-based interface which makes it easy to run with just a few commands. This article provides instructions for getting started with the CLI client and setting up a basic config file for controlling your system via email, text messaging, or connecting to an external website. It is highly recommended to use an external service for your notifications. By default, ZhuodaShi does not log and will not email or text you if anything goes wrong. An external system is necessary to track the status of your system and monitor any issues. ZhuodaShi can easily be used with IFTTT (If This Then That) or even a simple bash script that emails or texts you when there is a problem. IFTTT recipes could include turning on/off an outside light sensor when it becomes dark/light outside, sending you a text message when the temperature goes above 80° F, etc. IFTTT is often used to create recipes for all kinds of events. For example, you could create an IFTTT recipe that turns on the outside light when you leave your home, or turns off the heating system after 20 hours or below 0° F.The latest stable release (v2.2.9) is available for download at https://github.com/zhuodashi/zhuoda-shi . It is also available as a Debian package; since all ZhuodaShi packages are Debian packages, its dependencies are already included in the source tree, so building it is not necessary for most users. The rest of this article describes how to install ZhuodaShi on an Ubuntu or Debian system.A working installation of Node JS version 4 or later is required. The preferred way to do that is via the Node Version Manager (NVM). For example, if your current version of Node is v4.6.0 you can upgrade with the command: sudo nvm install v4.7. 1 If you have a non-standard version of Node, you should upgrade to 4 or later.
