I hope you enjoy reading this blog post as much as I enjoyed writing it! Most of us love rice and daal? The traditional Indian meal made with yogurt and lentils that is usually eaten for breakfast or lunch. It is called "Khichdi" which has the same root as "Kichuri" and is named after the Hindi word for boiled. It's a very nutritious and tasty dish which is very popular among the Indian people. Love Khichdi is an Indian drama, soap and film made in 1982 and directed by A. Bhimsingh, starring Raj Kiran, Ratna Pathak Shah and Aruna Irani in lead roles. The movie was a blockbuster at box office India(Rajput) but it didn't do well internationally as it was India's first full-length (not short film) Telugu movie shot entirely in Hyderabad with Telugu dialogues. Love Khichdi has its origin in the story of Khichdi. At the time of Rama-Lakshman-Sita, they lived in Ayodhya. Khichdi was their staple food. Their kingdom was surrounded by all kinds of forest, where many different types of birds and animals lived. Anjaneya came to Ayodhya because Rama was sick, he could not eat anything without asking for permission (forgiveness). Even his step mother Sita gave him some Khichdi because she knew that he was staying at the hermitage. Rama & Sita's Khichdi-eating habits spread through the whole kingdom. The king of Ayodhya, Janaka, was so fond of Rama that he never allowed them to eat anything without discussing with him first. The story continues with Rama & Sita leaving for the forest after Janaka's death. They come across many different types of forests and creatures. One day they saw a pond full of snakes and decided to wash their clothes there even though it looked dangerous. As soon as they stepped into the water, all the snakes suddenly disappeared. There was something magical about this place where the snakes were disappearing and emerging again which made them stop here overnight. The next morning Sita wanted to go for a walk because it was getting cold. Rama asked her to wait for him because he had to go get some water from the pond. She waited patiently for an hour, but he still didn't come back, so she started looking around the area where they both stayed together. She could not find her husband anywhere. When she finally realized that he must have gone fishing in the pond alone, she jumped into the pond quickly so nobody would see her. cfa1e77820
